SUMMER OFFER! 3 FOR 2 DANCE STYLES - BALLET, MODERN AND TAP
HGDA offers imaginitive and engaging classes for babies & toddlers aged 18 months and above, introducing basic skills and the joy of movement. These are fun, relaxed classes for adults to dance along with their little one.
From age 3, mini classes offer a structured yet lively and exciting approach to dance which lays the foundation for later grades. Mini classes emphasise fundamental technique, musicality and expression, and aim to foster a growing passion for dance.
After successful completion of primary, students move onto junior level classes (grades 1-3), which align with Level 1 of the RQF. These grades include more complicated patterns of movement and concentrate on enhancing coordination, alignment, musicality, theoretical knowledge, and performance abilities.
Grades 4 and 5 correspond with Level 2 of the RQF and are more challenging grades that require commitment to improving and maintaining solid dance technique. Alongside developing a deeper comprehension of dance, students are encouraged to explore a range of dance styles, musical rhythms and dynamics.
Grades 6-8 align with Level 3 of the RQF and are complex grades that require students to demonstrate secure technical foundation, expressive individuality, and deep understanding of varied dance styles.
Intermediate Foundation (Level 2), Intermediate (Level 3), Advanced 1 and Advanced 2 (Level 3) are vocational grades for students with committed dance aspirations. These grades require exceptional technical standard including consistent strength, stamina, control, and expressive artistic versatility.
